The Nature of Things - Manchester Central Library 2016
An exhibition of drawings and prints. The starting point for my research was the library’s archives + special collection
specifically Isabella Colbeck’s hand made Herbarium book, dated 1851.
“It was an absolute privilege and pleasure to step back in time and handle this 165 year old book. Each delicately considered page contains fragile specimens that have been selected, logged and carefully presented.
The object for Isabella Colbeck and myself provides a starting point.
The process of compiling the images allows the senses to experience it”.
